New Fixture Positions & Route Planning
The proposed fixture positions are reviewed alongside the existing room and service routes. Cabinetry, stonework, doors, and fixture dimensions are coordinated before the new plumbing layout is established.
A new layout starts with carefully planned plumbing. Follow ten illustrated stages of fixture relocation, from protected removal and new water, drain, and vent routes to premium fixture connections and final operation checks.

The proposed fixture positions are reviewed alongside the existing room and service routes. Cabinetry, stonework, doors, and fixture dimensions are coordinated before the new plumbing layout is established.
The water supply is isolated and the old fixture is carefully disconnected. Temporary caps and plugs close the exposed connections while retained finishes and removed fixtures are protected.
Independent hot and cold supplies are brought to the new fixture position and secured within the service wall. The rough-in locations are coordinated with the future cabinet, faucet, and finished wall.
The new lavatory drain inlet connects to an upright sanitary tee. Drainage continues downward, while the vent rises through the solid wall above the connection.
The toilet drainage branch is rerouted through an accessible floor bay toward the planned fixture location. A capped riser marks the rough connection while the surrounding framing remains intact.
The shower control is moved to its planned position and anchored to solid blocking. Separate supplies feed the valve, and a supported riser reaches the future showerhead outlet.
The freestanding tub position is coordinated with its drain and the floor-mounted filler. The filler base is anchored in the floor assembly, with separate supplies and a distinct drain connection prepared nearby.
The exposed routes, connections, supports, and planned fixture positions are reviewed while the work remains accessible. Required testing and rough inspections are coordinated before walls and floors are closed.
The fixture is installed at its new position and connected to the prepared water and drainage outlets. Accessible shutoffs, separate supply connectors, and a serviceable trap support future maintenance.
The relocated fixtures are checked for normal operation, drainage, and leakage at accessible joints. Remaining adjustments and the required final inspection are coordinated before project handover.
